What payment methods do you accept in the venues?

We are a cash less venue and payments via all major credit / debit cards and Apple Pay are accepted.

What are the security procedures at our venues?

A range of procedures and checks are carried out to ensure our buildings, equipment, systems, team members and visitors are safe whilst working in our buildings and attending our events. These procedures and plans are monitored and reviewed frequently to ensure they are up to date, accurate and fit for purpose.

We have a number of forums and platforms we engage with to ensure we are compliant and adhering to all relevant regulations and standards, and that we are are coordinated across the different facets of the event operation. This ensures that as far as is reasonably practical, our events are planned and managed safely.

Our venues are fitted with CCTV which is monitored and recorded for the safety of team members and visitors.

At our events, we have a team of dedicated and accredited security and stewarding staff who are highly trained and experienced in event security. We also engage event medical staff to provide different levels of medical support and care at our events.

Everyone entering our venues is required to clear the security checks and customers are asked to arrive early to allow time for these checks to be completed. On entry, customers may be subject to a bag or personal search by a member of our security team and should be aware that withholding consent to such searches may result in entry being denied.

In summary, here’s what you need to know if you are attending an event.

Arrive Early: We ask you arrive with enough time to pass through security checks. We thank you for your courtesy and cooperation with our staff.
Have your ticket/e-ticket ready: Ticket scanning will be in place at our venues. Please have your ticket/e-ticket ready for inspection.
Large bags are not permitted into the venue: There are no cloakroom facilities available so please make alternative arrangements before arriving to the venue, we encourage you to bring bags which are no larger than a laptop bag.
Be vigilant: Please alert our security or stewarding team if you notice anything you feel uncomfortable with or wish to report.

Where is the nearest bus stop?

The nearest bus stop is directly outside the Waterfront Hall on Oxford Street. You can find out information about routes and timetables on the Translink website.

Where is the closest car park to the Waterfront?

The Hilton Car Park, and Lanyon Place Car Park are the closest to the venue, both of which are approximately 100m away.

Where is the nearest free parking site?

Parking is free on the streets surrounding the building on single yellow lines from 18:00 to 07:30 Monday to Saturday, and all day Sunday.

What is the easiest way to get the Waterfront Hall?

The Waterfront Hall is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of the city centre. We are located nearby Lanyon Place train station in Belfast within a five-minute walking distance.

The nearest bus station is the Laganside Bus Centre, which is approx. two minutes’ walk from the Waterfront Hall. There is a bus stop on Oxford Street, directly outside the building which accommodates on the main Glider routes in Belfast.

Where can I park?

Waterfront Hall is situated in the city centre with both on-street parking and car parks available. Nearby car parks include:

Lanyon Place (prebook available to avoid queues)
Oxford Street
Belfast Central Station
Montgomery Street

All car parks are independently owned and operated by external companies. Whilst these are open for most events, there may be times when some car parks are unavailable.

What do I do if I am late?

In some cases, we may have to ask you to wait for a suitable break in the performance before we can allow you to take your seats. Occasionally this can mean waiting until the interval, if there is one.

Can I purchase food and drink at the Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall?

Each of our bars located at the Waterfront Hall are filled with an array of locally sourced food and beverage items including a wide selection of chilled soft drinks, confectionery, snacks and alcoholic beverages to suit every taste;

Can I bring my own food and drink to the Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall?

Only food and drink that has been purchased on the premise can be taken into the venues. Management reserve the right to dispose of any food or drink brought to the venue.

What’s the easiest way to get the Ulster Hall?

The Ulster Hall is conveniently located on Bedford Street, a short two-minute walk of the city centre. We are located nearby Great Victoria Street Bus and Train Station in Belfast, approximately within a five-minute walking distance.

There is also a bus depot at Belfast’s City Hall which is a two-minute walk from Ulster Hall, which hosts all main bus routes.
