New shows coming to Belfast in 2021 and 2022!
Those are words we haven’t heard in a while…
It’s been a long summer of rescheduling shows but it’s time to spread a bit of positivity and we are delighted to announce three incredible new shows for 2021 and 2022 at two of Belfast’s most iconic venues: Waterfront Hall & Ulster Hall.
Let the Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall be your safe haven for a guaranteed night of well needed laughter, craic and sing-song.
Katherine Ryan, 25 May 2022, Ulster Hall
Creator and star of Netflix smash hit The Duchess (along with two global Netflix comedy specials: In Trouble and Glitter Room) comedian and TV’s Katherine Ryan is coming to the iconic Ulster Hall. The Duchess is already becoming one of the most talked about shows on TV, mostly because of Katherine’s fabulously flamboyant wardrobe and hilarious sense of humour.
“Ryan is young, smart, razor sharp and hilariously funny” The Sunday Times
Having previously denounced partnership, Katherine has since married her first love, accidentally. A lot has changed for everyone and we can look forward to hearing Katherine Ryan’s hilarious new perspectives on life, love, and what it means to be Missus.
Tickets for Katherine Ryan go on-sale Friday, 16 October at 10am
Diversity, 04 June 2021, Waterfront Hall
Last year marked 10 years since Diversity took the nation by storm when they won Britain’s Got Talent. Over the past 10 years, they have continued to wow audiences around the world with their innovative live tours and performances.
To take them into the next decade of Diversity, creator and choreographer, Ashley Banjo has created a new show, ‘Connected’, which centres around the world of social media, the internet, and the digital era we now live in, but more importantly how this connects us all.
“I truly do believe that we are all connected in more ways than one and I cannot wait to bring this to life on stage.” Ashley Banjo
You won't want to miss this! Expect an extremely powerful and emotive performance from the very talent Diversity.
Tickets for Diversity go on-sale Friday, 16 October at 10am
Billy Bragg, 02 November 2021, Ulster Hall
Billy Bragg is no stranger to the iconic Ulster Hall. He returns for his solo headline tour for the first time in a decade!
Over the years the singer, songwriter, guitarist and activist has graced the Ulster Hall stage; from November 1990 when Bragg walked on stage holding the front page of that day’s Belfast Telegraph, upon hearing the news that Margaret Thatcher had resigned to his gig in January 2017, around this time he had delved into American railroad history on a shared bill with Joe Henry in support of their Shine A Light album. Billy Bragg loves a Belfast audience!
Through the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s Bragg has stayed true to his original style of mixing politics and music.
Bragg declares “You can’t change the world through music, but you can give people a different perspective on the world.”
Tickets for Billy Bragg go on-sale Friday, 16 October at 10am
There is light at the end of the tunnel. Our iconic stages will be alive with sound of world class talent who travel from near and far to experience the warmth and energy that the Belfast audience create.
Live entertainment will be greater than ever for the wait.
We look forward to welcoming customers and artists alike to experience emotional connections and #IWasThereWhen moments in our venues once again.
