It’s the most wonderful (and stressful) time of the year, as Christmas shopping mania begins, however the panic is over – we’ve got you covered this Christmas.
For Mums, Sisters, Aunts and Grannies, Christmas shopping may seem like a breezy ride, with plenty of inspiration for potential gifts. However, then it hits you: The ‘Dad Dilemma’. What do you buy the man who has ‘everything’? The man who isn’t fussed on the latest fashion, or maybe doesn’t need another pair of socks to add to the collection? No need to panic – let us handle this one!
This festive season the Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall have Christmas sorted with an abundance of gift ideas. This Christmas, the ‘Dad dilemma’ is diffused, as we have tickets to a whole host of events from laugh-out-loud comedy shows, sporting events and rock legends.
Thank us in advance for being crowned the ‘favourite child’ this Christmas and buy your Dad a world-class experience that he won’t be in a hurry to forget.
We’ve counted down a variety of gift inspirations for Dad’s across Northern Ireland this Christmas. Whether's he's a comedy lover, music fanatic, sports mad dad or adventurer extraordinaire, we've got you sorted.
The Dead South, 19 February 2020
The Dead South are making a triumphant return to the Ulster Hall on 19 February 2020.
A province in the prairies of Canada. Double the size of Germany, but with less than one million residents. This is where the quartet The Dead South comes from and fits perfectly within this description. The debut album “Good Company” revealed the four hatted, hairy and bearded fellas, with singer Nate Hilts as a focal point.
Does your Dad love a bit of country?
An Audience with John Bercow, 28 February 2020
There will be ORDERRRRRR on 28 February at Waterfront Hall.
In this unique event, Mr Bercow will be giving a candid interview into the historic Brexit proceedings of the last three years and his time as speaker of the house over the past decade.
If your Dad loves to shout at the news over everything Brexit, this is the one for him!
David Meade, 14 March 2020
A firm favourite in our diary, Northern Ireland's record-breaking Mind Reader David Meade returns with his brand-new show 'Catch Meade If You Can' at the Ulster Hall.
The first mentalist to win a Million dollars in a Las Vegas casino, he’ll blow your mind as he does the impossible live on-stage right in front of you. Last year in Northern Ireland nearly 10,000 bought tickets to see David live, selling out every seat in every venue – so act soon to avoid disappointment. Can Daddy catch him out?
Kevin Bloody Wilson, 26 March 2020
Another comic to try and match his Dad jokes over the Christmas table! Kevin Bloody Wilson brings his brand new 'Almost Awesome' Tour to the Ulster Hall March 2020 for an evening of hilarious stand-up comedy & music.
A long time ago, a long way from anywhere, in a West Australian mining town called Kalgoorlie, the legend of Kevin Bloody Wilson was born. It all started innocently enough - just a guy with too much time on his hands changing the words to other people’s songs, and writing a few of his own, purely for the fun of it.

Ant Middleton, 17 November 2020
This one is the cherry under the tree. Ant Middleton is bringing his Mind Over Muscle tour to Belfast next November where he will talk through and give tips on survival and endurance.
This is the perfect gift for the adventurer Dad. Why not pair the golden envelope with his book for the full package!
